PALM COAST, Fla. – From one legend to another, this season at the Fitzgerald Performing Arts Center is a sensory and music extravaganza.

Audiences were transported to the outer limits of their music scrapbook with David Brighton’s Space Oddity: The Quintessential David Bowie Tribute Experience, testing time and space with vibrant costume changes and hitting the notes Bowie was so well-known for delivering.

Dancing at their seats, Kathy Summa and husband Chuck Summa weren’t the only ones transfixed by the performance.

“I love the music, it’s great. And the energy’s good,” said Kathy Summa. “I think everybody can connect to it. I remember when he was putting out Christmas albums.”

“In between the songs, I like that he’s making people laugh. That’s really important that he’s connecting with the audience.”

“I was never a real big Bowie fan but reliving this right now, it’s great,” added Chuck Summa.

Not their first trip to the Fitzgerald Performing Arts Center, they enjoy the variety of shows each season.

“It spans the decades and it’s so timeless,” she said.

Season subscriber Kathy Reichard-Ellavsky, Cornelia Manfre, Flagler County Commissioner (then -elect) Pam Richardson, and Joe Rossheim were just a few of the community’s notables out to enjoy the evening with Bowie.

“I think David is an awesome David,” declared Reichard-Ellavsky. “He sounds just like him. It’s great. I’ve come to expect this kind of quality at The Fitz.”

Coming up this weekend is the return of The King.

Elvis, that is.

With Ted Torres Martin returning as Elvis Presley, his performance shows the King of Rock ‘n Roll never goes out of style.

“So, why should you come? Because this is a rare opportunity to see a truly international star perform right here at home,” shared Fitzgerald Performing Arts Center Director Amelia Fulmer.

“Ted brings the voice, the moves, and the energy of Elvis like no one else—no matter where he is in the world, he brings the house down. Don’t miss your chance to experience this incredible show, where every note, every gesture, and every moment will have you feeling like you’ve stepped back in time to a live Elvis performance,” she said.

“Ted has traveled all of the world over the last year, including Australia and he has recently acquired a residency at the Westgate in Vegas.  Many don’t know that Ted was featured in a documentary “Almost Almost Famous” about what it is like to be an authentic Tribute artist and travel the world.”
