FWC Invites Anglers to Celebrate Their Freshwater Catches with Big Catch!

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) invites anglers of all ages and experience levels to explore Florida’s freshwater fishing opportunities and celebrate their memorable catches through the Big Catch program.

Big Catch is Florida’s family-friendly freshwater angler recognition program, designed to encourage anglers to enjoy the diversity of freshwater fish found throughout the state by. Anglers can choose from over 30 eligible freshwater species and earn recognition when they catch a fish that meets or exceeds the qualifying length OR weight.

Participating is simple:

1. Catch a qualifying fish using an active hook-and-line method.

2. Take a photo of the catch.

3. Submit the catch through to receive recognition and a printable certificate.

Youth anglers are encouraged to participate, with easier qualifying sizes available for anglers under 16 years old. Big Catch is a fun program that the entire family can participate in and enjoy.
