PALM COAST, Fla. — Runners and walkers will have one final opportunity to take to the runway when the Rotary Club of Flagler Beach hosts its Race at the Runways 5K on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2027, at 5:30 p.m. at Flagler Executive Airport.

Registration is now open for the event, which combines an evening run or walk with community spirit while supporting local programs through the Rotary Club of Flagler Beach.

According to organizers, the airport’s continued expansion means its runways will no longer be able to close to accommodate the race, making the 2027 event the last opportunity for participants to enjoy this distinctive course.

Experienced runners, casual walkers, families and groups of friends are invited to help give the runway race a memorable send-off. Participants are encouraged to wear colorful, creative costumes, with prizes awarded for the best outfits. The top male and female finishers will each receive a cash prize.

Registration includes a race T-shirt, finisher medal, and complimentary food and beverages after the event. Discounted registration is available for participants younger than 18.

Participants are encouraged to register early and invite friends, family members and coworkers to join the farewell celebration.

For registration and additional information, visit the Rotary Club of Flagler Beach’s event registration page.
