There’s no donation too big or too small to make an impact. One of the Food-a-Thon’s most memorable donations was $5 from a local youngster, lovingly donated during the inaugural fundraiser in 2022.
It’s a chance for businesses to plug their business, live and on-air while making their donation, a win-win for everyone, especially the Grace Community Food Pantry, the recipient of the funds. With a 5-to-1 buying power, $1 buys $5 worth of food through Second Harvest and other suppliers according to Pastor Charles Silano, founder of the pantry. Feeding more than 5,000 families a month, it’s a massive operation. Team member Dottie Colletta finds it a calling from the Lord to help oversee the multiple programs run by the pantry.
Community members are invited to stop by the Flagler Broadcasting studios located at 2405 E. Moody Blvd, in Bunnell on State 100 in the City Plaza business complex, just east of the Flagler County Courthouse, and make their donation live, on-air between the hours of 9 AM and 3 PM.
For those unable to stop in, a donation can be made over the phone or by website. See below.
