FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. (December 9, 2024) – Flagler Broadcasting LLC announced the launch of it’s seventh local radio station this month.

“The Light 101.3 FM”, featuring contemporary Christian music, is one of the fastest growing formats in America according industry experts.

Flagler Broadcasting President and CEO David Ayres, who has been instrumental in building the Flagler Broadcasting family of stations over nearly two decades, is excited about the new addition to the popular lineup of stations and podcasts.

“We built our first station WNZF 16 years ago when there were no commercial radio stations serving the Flagler County community, and the Palm Coast newspaper just folded,” he said.

“We wanted to give northeast Florida a full-service contemporary Christian radio station with local DJs, news, weather, traffic, and support for local churches and other non-profits,” added Ayres.

The Light’s on-air talent will feature DJs JT and Sandy. Contemporary Christian Music is one of the fastest-growing formats in the country, attracting listeners of all ages.

“You won’t hear us preaching or asking listeners for money,” said JT, Program Director and on-air talent for The Light 101.3 FM. “We just want to be a positive local radio station where our Christian messages are in our music.”

Now, through December 26th, The Light 101.3 FM is playing Christmas music 24 hours a day.  The regular format kicks in on December 26 at midnight.

The new radio station’s studio and tower are located in St. Augustine, Florida. As with all Flagler Broadcasting stations, The Light 101.3 FM has the ability to be heard worldwide via smart speakers, (Hey Alexa Play The Light 1013) and by streaming on the Flagler Radio app.
