Bunnell, FL – November 24, 2024 — Bonita Robinson, a dedicated advocate for Bunnell and a lifelong supporter of the community, is proud to announce her candidacy for the position of City Commissioner in the upcoming election on March 2025. Known for her deep commitment to community progress, Bonita has previously served as a Bunnell City Commissioner from 2014 to 2017 and is eager to bring her experience and dedication back to City Hall.
Bonita, who moved to Bunnell from Perry, FL, at the age of 10, has always had a special place in her heart for her adopted hometown. Currently, she serves as the Community Services Area Manager at the G.W. Carver Center in South Bunnell. In this role, she oversees a variety of essential programs, including athletic leagues and after-school activities, ensuring the Carver Center remains a safe and positive space for residents of all ages to gather, connect, and thrive. Bonita’s commitment to Bunnell runs deep, inspired by the late Daisy Henry and the ongoing dedication of Rev. Giddens of Espanola, whose unwavering community service continues to guide her values. She brings transparency, accountability, and a spirit of collaboration to every role she undertakes.
Throughout her previous tenure as Commissioner, Bonita led initiatives to strengthen local infrastructure, support small businesses, and expand community programs. Now, as she seeks reelection, Bonita is focused on creating sustainable economic opportunities, enhancing community services, and ensuring a high quality of life for all residents.
