The Florida Association of Free & Charitable Clinics (FAFCC) has been recognized as the Association of the Year by the Florida Society of Association Executives, honoring the organization’s statewide impact on expanding healthcare access for uninsured and underserved Floridians.

Rebecca DeLorenzo, MBA, CAE, chief executive officer of the Florida Association of Free & Charitable Clinics, announced the award, calling it a reflection of the collective efforts of the organization’s staff, board of directors, member clinics, partners and supporters.

Founded in 2013, the Florida Association of Free & Charitable Clinics works to strengthen access to healthcare by supporting a statewide network of more than 110 member organizations serving residents in all 67 Florida counties.

The association provides grant funding, advocacy, education and data support to help member clinics deliver quality healthcare services to individuals and families who might otherwise go without care.

“We’re honored to be named Association of the Year by the Florida Society of Association Executives,” DeLorenzo said. “This recognition reflects the dedication of our staff, board, members, partners and supporters who believe every Floridian deserves access to quality healthcare. We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished together and excited about what comes next.”

The award recognizes the association’s commitment to strengthening Florida’s nonprofit healthcare safety net while advancing policies and programs that improve access to care across the state.

As demand for affordable healthcare services continues to grow, the Florida Association of Free & Charitable Clinics says it remains focused on equipping its member organizations with the resources, funding and support needed to serve vulnerable populations and improve health outcomes for communities throughout Florida.
