It’s a family-friendly fundraiser and you’re invited! Join the TAG V. BEAR Foundation team as they host the 9th Annual Fundraiser Festival at the Florida Agricultural Museum. $10 gets the entire family in or a donation of diapers and wipes for Project WARM. It’s never been easier to spend a wholesome day with the kids without breaking the bank!
Enjoy food, unique arts and crafts, vendor shopping, a kid’s zone and the Florida Agricultural Museum’s live farm animals. You can walk through time at the museum exploring historic Florida homes and businesses and see how the earliest residents of the Sunshine State lived.
“We have an event every June, it’s the one fundraiser we do every year. The first was based on the wedding of two teddy bears and then every event after that has been a celebration of their anniversary,” said TAG V. BEAR Foundation Founder Kathy Austrino.
This is going to be the ninth party, eighth anniversary for the cute a cuddly couple who have become the mascot for the foundation as well as Austrino’s company, TAG Ventures Real Estate.
Along the way they’ve added kids, and more than 300 of TAG V. BEAR and Rita Real Estate’s teddy bears have been donated to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office to help soothe children when deputies address domestic violence or other issues where children are involved.
Traditionally held as a sit-down dinner, Austrino wanted it to be less formal and more fun.
“We’re changing it up to be more inclusive of the people we serve, and do it in the form of a festival,” she said. “It really is just a celebration with the folks that have been supporting us through the year. It just seems more fun to open it up to not just the folks that support us but the folks we support.”
The Family Life Center, Project WARM, Teens-In-Flight, A Christmas to Remember, and Reality House are just a few of the community-based support organizations who have received charitable donations from the TAG V. BEAR Foundation over the years.
“We’re just reaching back and helping. That’s how I see life,” said Austrino.
