Palm Coast, FL (December 10, 2021) Christmas is drawing nearer and the needs are still great for families across Flagler County.

Working diligently to help meet those needs, Nadine King, founder of Christmas Come True, was the guest of honor on Wednesday evening as a ladies’ group from the Palm Coast Tennis Center gathered for a celebration and presentation to help out.

Led by Donna Otto, the ladies chose to give rather than receive.

“Instead of doing a grab bag gift, we decided we should all donate and we picked Christmas Come True,” said Otto.

“I have to tell you, these women all just kept throwing money at me, and we were able to buy four bikes. We had a lot left, so we’re going to do more for Nadine,” she said. “When I mentioned it to the girls, they were like, we’re in. They didn’t even hesitate, they just threw money at me and continue to throw money at me.”

The pair connected through mutual friend Vera DiBitetto, owner of Mezzaluna’s Pizzeria in European Village.

“I’ve known Nadine for seven years and I love her,” said DiBitetto.  “Christmas is all about the kids and that’s all she had to say. That was the most important thing to me.”

Humble and gracious, King said it’s always a blessing when groups or individuals ask how to help and make it happen.

“Amazing. You know how much I love when people reach out to us and they reached out to me. It was really wonderful, just amazing,” she said.
