FLAGLER BEACH, Fla. — Following the June 25 release of her debut historical novel, Judah’s Rebellion, local author Deborah Kunz invites the community to celebrate during a Meet the Author Open House & Book Signing on Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Flagler Sun & Seed, 105 N. Ocean Shore Blvd., Flagler Beach.
The free event offers readers the opportunity to meet the author, purchase signed copies of Judah’s Rebellion, enjoy light refreshments, and receive a raffle entry with every book purchase.
Inspired by true events in Prince George’s County, Maryland, Judah’s Rebellion brings history to life through the eyes of a young girl searching for freedom. Rooted in years of historical research—including work in Maryland archives and historical societies—the novel explores themes of courage, sacrifice, resilience, and hope while shining a light on stories that deserve to be remembered.
“I’ve always believed that history is more than dates and names—it’s people and their stories,” said Kunz. “Judah’s Rebellion has been close to my heart for a long time. I’m grateful to finally share it with readers, and I hope the novel not only moves them but also remember the real people and events that inspired it.”

A Flagler Beach resident, Kunz is passionate about bringing overlooked stories from history to life through fiction. Judah’s Rebellion, published by Lynnwood House Publishing, is her debut novel and is available through Amazon and other major online booksellers.
