BUNNELL, Fla. – The Flagler County Nexus Center will come alive this weekend as the inaugural Home & Garden Show opens its doors, offering residents a one-stop destination for inspiration, innovation, and local connection.
Hosted through a partnership between the Palm Coast-Flagler Regional Chamber of Commerce and Flagler Broadcasting, the event kicked off with strong momentum—and a packed parking lot to prove it.

“This is the Home & Garden Show, that the Chamber and Flagler Broadcasting have partnered to do a sneak preview and after hours with food and drink and fun,” said John Phillips, president of the Chamber.
“The parking lot is totally full. The bottom line is when a parking lot is full, as an event person, it’s a good sign. I’m thrilled.”
Phillips emphasized the event’s timing as especially valuable for local businesses and homeowners alike.
“It’s a great opportunity for people to spruce up their home. Whether it’s some plants and things that might have died off, or home improvement like a bath, shower or an electrical outlet, you’ve got it all here in this place. It’s a great chance for our community and our businesses to come together and all one stop shopping,” he said.

As one of the first major events hosted at the Nexus Center, excitement extends beyond vendors and attendees. Flagler County Library Director Holly Albanese shared her anticipation.
“It’s very exciting. I mean, this is a first, I would say, big event that we’re hosting here, so I’m excited to see how it actually plays out and how people really love it and experience it.”

Innovation is a central theme of the show, according to Kirk Keller.
“I’m super excited because we do have a lot of innovative products here,” Keller said. “One of the products here is a green home, which tells you how to save money on your electric bill, how to save money on your water bill. They can also come in and modify your home.”
From smart home technology, Keller says, “I love to be able to say, Alexa, turn on my lights” to landscaping and creating curb appeal, Keller noted the range of expertise available.
“We have several vendors here that can help you design a garden or curb appeal this weekend. We have a lot of people here that you can talk to and ask those questions.”

The show also goes beyond home improvement, offering access to community resources. “Even if you want to know about your taxes, we have the Flagler County Tax Collector here,” Keller added.
Blending modern innovation with time-tested gardening traditions, the Home & Garden Show promises something for everyone. Best of all, admission is free, making it an easy and accessible outing for the entire community.
The inaugural event runs Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., inviting residents to explore, learn, and connect under one roof.
