Palm Coast, FL – At Tuesday morning’s City Council Workshop, Kathie Ebaugh and Silvia Vargas, a consultant team working on the City of Palm Coast’s Imagine 2050 initiative, delivered a presentation announcing the start of Phase 2 of the Comprehensive Plan Update. This phase builds on the community engagement efforts of Phase 1.

During the presentation, the consultant reviewed Phase 1 outcomes from October 10, 2023, to February 2024. This phase included diverse outreach efforts such as engaging with civic groups, participating in community events, and using an interactive website to collect resident feedback. The findings from this phase set the stage for Phase 2, where the consultant team intends to establish a Vision Statement, Core Planning Values, and Planning themes. These elements will guide the development of new or revised goals, objectives, and policies within the Comprehensive Plan.

The Phase 2 community conversation workshop meetings are scheduled for Wednesday, March 13, 2024. Two sessions are available for participation: the first runs from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., and the second from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. These workshops will take place in the Community Wing of City Hall, at 160 Lake Ave, Palm Coast. Each session will feature a presentation followed by small group discussions. This event is open to the public, inviting all residents interested in sharing their ideas and perspectives for the comprehensive planning process.

The City of Palm Coast looks forward to welcoming all residents ready to contribute to shaping our community’s future at these Phase 2 community conversation meetings. Your participation and input are invaluable as we work together to develop a comprehensive plan that reflects the needs and aspirations of Palm Coast. We encourage you to join us for either session, and let’s make our city even better together!
