What inspired you to get into the entertainment industry?
Having spent over 30 years in the entertainment industry, my journey was inspired by a deep-seated passion for music composition and production, particularly in the realms of hip hop and R&B. The dynamic and ever-evolving nature of these genres captivated me, driving my commitment to contribute creatively. With nearly 26 years dedicated to theater production, I found a parallel love for the stage and its transformative power. Winning a New York Bessie award was a remarkable milestone, solidifying my dedication to artistic excellence. My inspiration lies in the ability of entertainment to tell stories, evoke emotions, and create experiences that resonate with audiences across different mediums. INVINCIBLE is a culmination of this experience.
My goal is to bring back the spirit and essence of seeing and feeling Michael Jackson live again onstage!
With a professional resume of work that spans some of the industry’s greats, why did you choose Michael Jackson to create a show around?

When selecting performers for this particular show, Lavelle and I sought individuals who not only possessed exceptional technical skills but also embodied the spirit, essence, and authenticity that define Michael Jackson’s unique artistry. We looked for performers capable of capturing the nuances of his iconic style and delivering a genuine, heartfelt tribute to the King of Pop. Lavelle’s deep understanding and authoritative insight into Michael Jackson’s legacy played a pivotal role in shaping our selection criteria, ensuring that each performer contributes to preserving the magic and authenticity of MJ’s unparalleled contributions to the world of entertainment.
