PALM COAST, Fla. (January 19, 2024) – If you’ve been to one of the area’s talent shows lately, you may have noticed a nod by the top tier singers to one of 20th century’s all time greats, Whitney Houston, during their performance.

At least three singers in a single show belted out Houston’s rendition of ‘Greatest Love of All’, and they weren’t even born when legendary singer was in her heyday.

On Saturday night the Fitzgerald Performing Arts Center will present Belinda Davids’ “Greatest Love of All”, a tribute to Whitney Houston, and from reviews, she’s REALLY good.

Amelia Fulmer, Director of the Fitzgerald Performing Arts Center, saw Davids in Fort Lauderdale last season and knew she had to book her for the performing arts center’s patrons.

“You do not want to miss this show. I went to see her last year in Fort Lauderdale and I know first hand she will absolutely blow you away,” gushed Fulmer with excitement during an interview after The Texas Tenors last week.

“This show is not just vocals. This is a produced show so we’re bringing a lot of extra equipment, a lot of extra lights, a lot of really spectacular things. Belinda is from South Africa so how many times is she going to come to the U.S.? You should come not just because you love Whitney Houston, but because you love a good show. She really brings it. She changes clothes four or five times, and she really brings the sparkle. Everything you want a big show to be.”

So, if you’re like many of us who sang along to ‘How Will I Know’, “So Emotional’, ‘I’m Your Baby Tonight’, and ‘Saving All My Love’ in the 80s and 90s, cried over The Bodyguard’s ‘I Will Always Love You’, the timeless ‘Greatest Love of All’, and snapped to ‘I’m Every Woman’, it’s time to get your Whitney on. We’ll never have a chance to see her again, but for one night, we can relive the legend.
