TAKIN’ THE RIDE

This afternoon, the owner of a stolen gray Dodge pick-up truck in Jacksonville used technology to track the vehicle and found it stationary at the Jiffy convenience store at 700 N. State St (U.S. 1) in Bunnell. The owner called the store and confirmed the vehicle was there and asked the clerk to call 9-1-1, which they did and provided a description and direction of travel.

Responding Bunnell Police Officers located the vehicle southbound in the 1400 block of S. State St. With back-up from our partners at Flagler County Sheriff’s Office, a felony stop was conducted, briefly shutting down the southbound lanes, and the only occupant, the driver, was arrested.
Identified as 27 year old Qunard Dijom Doctor, officers discovered he is on felony probation for Arson. During an inventory of the vehicle, a loaded Glock 30 (.45 caliber) handgun was found with a glass jar of marijuana. Charged with Grand Theft of a Motor Vehicle, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Felony Possession of Marijuana, Driving While License Suspended with Knowledge, and Violation of Probation, Mr. Doctor is takin’ another ride – this time in our truck – to jail with No Bond.
