The 2024 Flagler Student Mock Election is part of a statewide program sponsored by the Lou Frey Institute at the University of Central Florida, the Florida Joint Center for Citizenship, and the Florida Supervisors of Elections.
Voting at school is a unique civic learning experience that teachers and faculty can build upon in the classroom to help young people become educated, engaged citizens. The voting process is completely anonymous, just like the voting system is designed for adults. Everyone is entitled to a secret ballot, and that’s part of the learning experience. Student voters are encouraged to show their ID, just as adults do when they vote.
