1. With you and your brothers having a background in gospel, which gospel song is your favorite to sing (and why) and will you be performing it at The Fitz?
“Amazing Grace” says it all for me! I especially love the fourth verse, ”When we’ve been there ten thousand years, bright shining as the sun, we’ve no less days to sing God’s praise, than when we first begin.”
2. We have many aspiring singers/songwriters here in our community. What advice would you share with them?
My advice would be to pursue it with all your heart and mind for a time. And if it works, great, if not, pray for His direction as to where you go and what you do next.
3. Having met and performed with many artists, do you ever get starstruck, and if so, by who?
There are way too many to name! But, I am always truly awed by the singers and musicians whom God has blessed with an amazing amount of talent.
4. What can our audience expect from The Gatlin Brothers here in Palm Coast?
We are going to perform several of the hits and a few songs that you might not have heard. We also like to “cut up” a little bit too!
5. What do you consider to be the greatest highlight of your professional career?
There again, it’s way too many to list. But, being members of the Grand Ole Opry is very special along with performing at Carnegie Hall. Having performed on the “Tonight Show” with Johnny Carson is ranked right near the top!
