Each year, countless fire-related incidents occur throughout the United States, endangering lives and property. The PCFD is taking proactive steps this Halloween season to educate and protect our community. Did you know that in the United States, approximately 800 home fires are ignited by candles on Halloween? Moreover, children are twice as likely to be involved in a fatal pedestrian accident on Halloween night compared to any other night of the year.
In this Public Service Announcement (PSA), Chief Kyle Berryhill and Ghostface will share valuable advice on fire prevention, pedestrian safety, and more.
