Celebrating the 6th anniversary of the Flagler Tiger Bay Club, members and guests gathered to reminisce about the past year and discuss the year ahead on Thursday evening at the Palm Coast Community Center.
During the nonpartisan organization’s annual meeting, President Emeritus Greg Davis presented the inaugural Alice E. Stewart Civility Award.
Stewart, a CNN political commentator and widely respected Republican strategist, served as the December Flagler Tiger Bay Club keynote speaker on several occasions. Stewart was known locally for bringing her Washington DC savvy to the Palm Coast community at the invitation of her sister Heather Thompson. Universally loved, she was recognized globally upon her passing this May for her civility in politics.
Thompson accepted the award on her sister’s behalf during the emotional presentation.
Club President Jay Scherr presided over the business portion of the meeting with directors presenting information on the club’s growth, membership, future goals and current accomplishments.
The meeting culminated with the ‘big reveal’, unveiling the 2024 Fall lineup of speakers – Wednesday, September 18th Luncheon Meeting Featuring Guest Speaker: ROGER B. CRUZ, Government Relations, Crisis Communications & Informed Advocate; and December 18th Holiday Celebration Dinner Meeting with Worldwide Motivational Speaker JEFF HOFFMAN.
The evening featured premium wines curated by La Piazza Cafe in the European Village and heavy hors d’oeuvres by World Plate, with entertainment provided by Cesar Romero and Thomas Media Solutions.
