Election Day

Tuesday, November 5, 2024

Election Day is November 5, 2024. Follow live election turnout here: Live Election Turnout

Early voting has ended. If you have not yet voted, you must vote in your assigned precinct on Tuesday, November 5.

Do you know where to vote?

You must vote in your assigned precinct on Election Day. The Elections Office is not a precinct.

If you voted early in a previous election and now wish to vote on Election Day, the early voting site may not be your assigned precinct. Florida law states you must vote in the precinct where you live. Any voter who refuses to go to their assigned precinct on Election Day will be issued a provisional ballot.

Find your precinct using our online Precinct Finder. Your Election Day voting precinct is also located on your Voter Information Card.

Election Day Voting Tips:

  • Polls will be open on Election Day from 7:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M.
  • Photo and signature ID is required to vote, the most common form of ID is a Florida Driver License. Out-of-state IDs are not accepted. View a list of photo IDs required to vote.
  • Bring your sample ballot with you to use as a guide.
  • If you need assistance in marking your ballot, please inform the election poll worker when you arrive.
  • If you make a mistake when voting, ask for a replacement ballot. You may receive up to two replacements, or a total of three ballots.
  • If your eligibility to vote cannot be determined, you will be allowed to vote a provisional ballot.

Returning Your Mail Ballot

It’s too late to mail your ballot for this election. Mail ballots must be returned to the Elections Office during office hours:

  • Sunday, November 3: OFFICE CLOSED
  • Monday, November 4 from 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Tuesday, November 5 from 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

The deadline is 7:00 PM on November 5, 2024. Voted mail ballots cannot be returned at Election Day voting locations, they must be returned directly to the Elections Office.

Sign The Return Envelope
The voter must sign the return envelope. In order for a mail ballot to be counted, the signature on the returned voter’s certificate must match the voter registration signature on file. A Power of Attorney is not recognized for voting.

Voting In Person With A Mail Ballot
If you have requested and received a mail ballot but decide to vote in person, bring your ballot with you to the polls. The mail ballot will be canceled, and you will be issued a new ballot at the polling location. You cannot use a mail ballot as a sample ballot in the voting booth. Instead, take a photo of your voted mail ballot or bring a sample ballot with you to use as a reference.
