Palm Coast, FL (March 27, 2022) Ready to welcome guests for the Artfully Yours Art Auction, Dr. Awilda Hamilton and her team of volunteers from the Grand Haven Woman’s Club are offering art lovers an opportunity to indulge their inner collector with the inaugural event on Monday afternoon.

Featuring a signature drink and hors d’oeuvres for your $25 ticket, the auction will feature both silent auction for the casual bidder and a live auction for the more competitive collectors.

“This is our first, inaugural auction and we are planning to have over 100 guests attend to view art from artists who have shown nationally and some even internationally,” said Hamilton.

Selections include art for the walls and the tables, garden art and wearable art according to Hamilton, who shared that each piece was generously donated to benefit more than 30 local charitable organizations in Flagler County.

“It really shows that people who have interest in the community are really willing to give of themselves,” she said.

Flagler Beach Pineapple Gallery artist Sylvia Gortz was more than happy to donate a piece of her work to the live auction.

“I’m also a part of the Palm Coast Arts Foundation and I feel that as an artist and former gallery owner in St. Augustine, it’s important for people to actually have arts in their life,” said Gortz.

“Whether it’s music or painting or a play, it doesn’t really matter. It’s important that you enrich your view of the world and art is a big part of it.”

Bettie Eubanks

Recently back from a reception at the Governor’s Mansion in Tallahassee where she was among the artists recognized as part of Black History Month, artist Bettie Eubanks’ hand decorated Coach handbag and wearable art are a one-of-a-kind pieces.

“All of the pieces are to support charity and all of the money goes completely to charity and so it’s a wonderful cause,” said Eubanks.

“We have many artists who live here in Grand Haven and came up with the idea to donate a piece of art we could auction for the benefit of the Grand Haven Woman’s Club,” said committee member Nancy Carlton.

“We support over 30 charities here in Flagler County and we’re constantly raising money all year long. With the pandemic it’s been difficult for nonprofits. Last year we raised over $40,000 in spite of the pandemic, so we’re excited about this event.”

The event will be held at the Grand Haven Golf Club, 500 Riverfront Drive, Palm Coast on Monday, March 28th. The silent auction will begin at 4 pm and transition into the live auction at 5 pm. Advance tickets www.ghwomansclub.org/art-auction.

Tickets are $25 at the door and the event is open to the public.
