Happy New Year, Flagler Schools family! I want to welcome everyone back from our Winter Break. Flagler Schools is ready to kick off the 2nd semester of our 2021-22 school year.

I am excited and hopeful as we enter the spring semester. There are so many opportunities for our students and staff to excel. I challenge everyone to continue to look for ways to support each other and strive for excellence in all that you do.  Do not accept the status quo, and do not listen to those thoughts that may cause you to doubt yourself.

Our district team is very mindful of the spread of the omicron variant across the country. Flagler County has not been untouched. While this variant seems to spread quickly, fortunately, the impacts are not as severe in comparison to previous forms of the coronavirus.

This goes without saying, but if anyone feels ill prior to arriving at school or work, please do not come in. If you begin to feel sick while on campus or at work, report to the school nurse or your supervisor and follow their instructions. This goes for COVID symptoms, flu symptoms, or any other sickness. Flagler Schools continues to stress proper hygiene and will continue regular cleaning and disinfecting on our campuses. We also recommend everyone wear a face-covering when in crowded situations.

Flagler Schools continues to utilize mitigation measures laid out in our “Back to School Guide,” which has been updated a few times during the first semester. You can find the guide on our district website, under the COVID-19 tab.
