PALM COAST, Fla. — With campaign signs lining roadways, social media feeds filled with political messages, and candidate forums wrapping up across Flagler County, local voters will have another opportunity to get to know the people seeking public office in a more personal setting.
The Flagler County Republican Club will host its Candidate Mix & Mingle on Wednesday, Aug. 5, at 6 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn in Palm Coast, giving attendees the chance to speak one-on-one with Republican candidates running in local races.
Guests are encouraged to arrive early for a social hour beginning at 5 p.m. in the hotel’s lobby bar before the event officially begins.
Unlike traditional debates or forums, the Mix & Mingle is designed to provide a relaxed atmosphere where voters can ask questions, discuss issues important to them, and learn more about each candidate on both a personal and professional level.
“You’ve seen the signs, read their social media ads, attended the debates… Now is your opportunity to speak with our local Republican candidates one-on-one in a casual social setting,” the club said in announcing the event.
Organizers say the evening offers residents an opportunity to move beyond campaign messaging and have meaningful conversations directly with the candidates.
“This is a great chance to ask questions and learn more about the candidates both personally and professionally,” the announcement states. “It is so important to learn as much as you can about a candidate and feel confident in giving them your vote.”
The event is open to those interested in meeting Republican candidates appearing on the ballot in local races ahead of the upcoming election.
