FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – On January 25th, 2024, the Flagler Home Builders Association held their annual Gala at the Hammock Dunes Club and installed the 2024 President, Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
2024 President: Lisa Stewart, Southern Title has served on the Flagler HBA Board of Directors since 2022 and has been a Flagler HBA member since 2019.
2024 Executive Committee: Vice President- Jaclyn Centofanti (Hulbert Homes), Secretary- Robbie Barrick (RBI Homes), Vice President of Committees- Wendy Barbosa (Fifth Third Bank), Treasurer- Donald O’Brien (Hayward Brown), Immediate Past President- Brad M Thomas (Thomas Consulting & Construction), and Past Vice President of Committees- Kaleigh Rickard (SmartGuard Shutters).
2024 Board of Directors: Builder Directors- Sam Bond (Ascent Homes), Tali DeJesus (1621 Building & Remodeling), Walker Douglas (Douglas Property & Development), Scott Sowers (Cline Construction), Frank Whalen (East Coast Building Corp.), and Associate Directors- Rue Beane (Allied Restoration & Construction), Richard Collins (Goosehead Insurance), Michelle James (Space Coast Credit Union), Anjanette Stevens (Southern Title), Joseph Wright (Quantum Electrical Contractors).
Life Directors serving on the Board: Tony Amaral Jr., Jim Gonce, Sandra McDermott, Luis Medeiros, Eric Phillips, Robbie Richmond, Charles Rinek, Budd Severino, Brad M Thomas, Roy Waldhauer, and Frank Whalen.
In addition to the installation of the leadership team, the following Awards were presented:
2024 Builder of the Year: Robbie Richmond, Intracoastal Construction. Robbie has been in the building industry for over 25 years. He has been the owner of Intracoastal Construction for almost 4 years. Robbie is a Certified Master Builder, and a Certified Green Building Professional. He has served as Chairman of the Flagler County Affordable Housing Committee for 1 year, the President of the Flagler HBA for 2 terms, and is a Life Director with the Flagler HBA. In his spare time, Robbie loves watching his boys play football, having daddy/daughter dates, taking excellent care of his wife, and he enjoys four wheeling in the mountains.
2024 Associate of the Year: Wendy Barbosa, Fifth Third Bank. Wendy has been with Fifth Third Bank for over 10 years and has worked in the mortgage industry for over 24 years. She has been an active Flagler HBA member since 2017. In her free time, Wendy loves to go to the beach, biking, spending time with family & friends, and going to church. She speaks fluent Spanish and has a passion for educating people about steps to homeownership, mortgages, and the construction process.
2024 Good Government Award: Robert Martin, Chief Building Inspector, City of Palm Coast. Robert has been the Chief Building Inspector for 4 years and has worked for the City of Palm Coast for 9 years. Prior to his time at the city, Robert worked at a local electrical contractors shop for 14 years as a Union Journeyman Electrician. When Robert is not at work you can find him spending time with his wife and 3 boys, hunting, and offshore fishing.
