The Florida Department of Education released the 2022-2023 informational baseline grades on Monday, December 11, 2023.

Flagler Schools Superintendent LaShakia Moore says, “As a district, though we have opportunities for improvement, we are moving in the right direction. I am confident that we will continue to improve academic achievement.”

Flagler Schools is a “B” district. Flagler Schools students’ overall increase in science and social studies performance contributed to this score.

This is the first set of school grades to use the new state assessment results. It’s interesting to note that Flagler Schools earned 64% of the possible points available. Under the previous grading system, this would have been an “A.” According to these latest results, the district has 2 “A” schools, 6 “B” schools, and 2 schools with a “C.”

Superintendent Moore goes on to say, “Educating our children is truly a community-wide effort. I am incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication shown by our teachers, faculty, staff, administrators, students, and parents. All districts continue to face challenges following the pandemic, but this data is important so we can identify areas where we can help our children succeed. We are well on our way to moving Flagler Schools forward to an ‘A’ district. I’m encouraged that we now have a strong baseline on which to compare in the years ahead.
