FLAGLER BEACH, Fla. (September 17, 2023) – Getting a big boost from the Flagler Woman’s Club on Saturday, the STUFF Bus is on it’s way to helping the students of Flagler County, in need.

Staging a STUFF Bus goods drive, Club President Barbara Macready was pleased with the efforts.

“On behalf of the Flagler Woman’s Club, I just wanted to say THANK YOU to all who donated to this wonderful event,” she said.

“Through your generosity, we were able to donate over $2500 worth of essential “stuff” to help the children of Flagler County have a successful year. No event happens without a little help from our friends and a lot of fun,” she said before passing out accolades with her trademark saucy humor.

“Thank you to Eileen Cederberg for the delicious coffee “crumb” cakes, Sandi Judy for the delicious brownies, Candy Cornelssen for the sausage thingy, Linda McCann for her award winning chili (it’s true, she won the annual Guns & Hoses Chili Challenge…umm twice), Lonnie Durling for her hot and spicy cornbread, Donna Reinert for the corn chips, Janet Sillhart for the crunchies, I brought the toppings (but someone forgot the cheese…right Joe), Mary Thompson for the beautiful “thank you for your donation” cards, Joann Soman for keeping track of all the “in-kind” donations, Patti Powell for cleaning up after us and our best buddy Joe (he carried a lot of stuff to that bus, ahhh youth). Last but not least, a great big thank you to our chairperson, Candy Cornelssen. She had a vision. She worked tirelessly to make it a reality. She brought us all together to help make a difference…And we did!”

“I am honored to be the President of this wonderful organization,” she said.

The STUFF Bus is a mobile project from the Flagler County Education Foundation providing students with essential items and is making the rounds in Flagler County. So far, stops have included Trustco Bank in Palm Coast, Chiumento Law Firm in Palm Coast and Publix.

Editor’s Note: Barbara Macready’s social media thank you was much cooler than her official one, and more accurately represents the amazing person she is, so we went with that quote.
