FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. (February 4, 2023) It was another banner year for the Flagler Home & Lifestyle Show as the weather held out, parking spaces freed up with the comings and goings of attendees, and business owners stayed busy chatting up prospective customers.

The halls of Flagler Palm Coast High School where the event is held were packed full of eager residents and visitors looking for everything from home improvement services provided by local businesses like Dick Stark’s Carpet One, staffed by Courtney Akel and her team ready to talk flooring and accessories, to real estate, where realtor Pam Richardson and her team represented Watson Realty Corp.

Hands on demos like the ‘Forever Sticky’, a 2-piece reusable roller set that cleaned up everything from carpet to linoleum and tile, drew nonstop crowds, wowed by the onsite action. Others stopped to talk in more intimate spaces with exhibitors like Christine Moore, owner of ‘All New U’ for a demonstration of her health and wellness services.

The more daring gave the extra fluffy pillow top mattresses a try or took a spin on the new 360 degree photo booth on display from Thomas Media Solutions.

“We brought our 360 degree photo booth to be able to highlight at the home show,” said owner Travis Thomas, who says the home show supports not just the local businesses, but an important component of the education system in Flagler County.

“It’s important for me to be here as a business owner, knowing that this supports all the efforts in adult education that Flagler Technical College puts forth in the community each and every year,” he said.

Proceeds from the exhibitor booth rental at the annual home and lifestyle show help provide scholarships for students attending Flagler Technical College learning any number of trades and earning professional certifications. Students from the school’s cosmetology program were on hand to provide haircuts and talk shop with attendees.

Other exhibitors offered handcrafted goods ranging from jewelry and accessories to home décor and collectibles.

Of course, the favorite Polonia Society of Korona, Inc. tantalized with juicy grilled sausages and sauerkraut, potato pancakes, pierogis and other traditional Polish dishes while just steps away, fresh Vermont fudge from Ode to Sweets, and Girl Scout cookies were on sale.

Not to be missed, the area’s local nonprofit clubs and organizations were on site, offering information about memberships, upcoming meetings, fundraisers and more, while local government agencies took the opportunity to interact with the public, providing free bike helmets courtesy of the Flagler County Tax Collector’s Office, voter registration information through the Flagler County Supervisor of Elections, and veteran’s information and support from the Flagler County Veterans Services Office.

“We enjoy meeting people at the Home Show, answering questions, and helping new residents register to vote,” said Flagler County Supervisor of Elections Kaiti Lenhart. “Events like these expand our opportunity for voter outreach and education.”

Flagler County Tax Collector’s Office Operations Manager Shelly Edmonson said their team provided 434 helmets to attendees on Saturday.

“It’s amazing how many senior citizens didn’t have bike helmets,” said Edmonson.

“We had an excellent turnout and everyone was so appreciative, lots of smiles, lots of thank you’s and compliments. Our team did a great job. This was such a wonderful experience and good public service.”

“Make sure to come see us tomorrow. We have about 400 helmets left,” she added.

The Flagler Home & Lifestyle Show is open from 10 am to 4 pm on Sunday at the Flagler Palm Coast High School Campus, located at 5500 E. Highway 100 in Palm Coast.
