The Friends of A1A and partners along the A1A scenic byway in Flagler and St. Johns counties will be hosting the annual International Coastal Cleanup on Saturday, September 17th from 8 am to 10 am. Locations to pick up supplies include the Flagler Beach Pier, Bings Landing for the Hammock beach access points, Marineland pavilion for the River to Sea Preserve, Crescent Beach pavilion for Crescent Beach and the Matanzas Inlet area, St. Augustine Beach pier park, Vilano Beach pavilion and Mickler’s Beach.
Participants are encouraged to join in the inaugural Trash to Treasure Art Contest by using piece(s) of trash from the cleanup in an art project with the winners to be announced at an art showing during October’s First Friday in Flagler Beach.
