Palm Coast – Palm Coast experienced sustained tropical storm force winds overnight due to Hurricane Helene, resulting in downed trees and low-hanging power lines throughout the area. City crews, including Public Works, Utility, Stormwater, and the Fire Department, worked through the night to respond to calls for service. No storm-related injuries were reported.
Residents are reminded to stay cautious and report any downed trees or damaged signs by submitting a case through Palm Coast Connect. For downed or low-hanging power lines, please contact Florida Power & Light (FPL) at 1-800-4-OUTAGE (688243). For emergencies, please call 911.
As post-storm cleanup continues, some city facilities are temporarily closed:
- Palm Harbor Golf Club is closed for cleanup.
- Community Center Playground is closed for cleanup and tree inspections.
- Southern Recreation Center facility and covered pickleball courts are open. Tennis courts are currently closed but may open this afternoon.
- Palm Coast Aquatics Center is open.
- City Hall and the Palm Coast Community Center are open.
- All other sports fields, trails, and parks, including the splash pad, are open.
Importantly, the Town Hall meeting with Council Member Pontieri, originally scheduled for this evening at 6 p.m., has been postponed and will be rescheduled.
The City of Palm Coast is grateful for the cooperation of residents during this time and will continue to provide updates as needed.
