Sea turtle nesting season is underway along Florida’s coastline, and Washington Oaks Gardens State Park is inviting visitors to learn more about these remarkable marine animals during a Sea Turtle Chat & Pop-Up Table on Saturday, Aug. 1, from 10 a.m. to noon.
Park Ranger Teresa will host an informal, interactive discussion at the beach parking lot, where visitors of all ages can ask questions and discover fascinating facts about the sea turtles that return to Florida’s beaches each summer to nest.
Whether you’re interested in nesting behavior, hatchlings, conservation efforts, or simply have a passion for Florida’s coastal wildlife, the program offers a fun and educational opportunity to learn how everyone can help protect these iconic species.
The program is included with paid park admission. Park entrance fees are $5 per vehicle (2–8 people) or $4 for a single-occupant vehicle.
No registration is required. Visitors are encouraged to stop by anytime during the program, meet Ranger Teresa, and celebrate one of Florida’s most treasured natural resources.
