Palm Coast, FL – (January 22, 2022) While the production may have been a little more low key than in past years, business owners and representatives were certainly glad to get back out in the public marketplace to interact with potential customers during the Flagler Home & Lifestyle Show on Saturday.
Hosting the 35th Annual Home & Lifestyle Show over the weekend on the campus of Flagler Palm Coast High School, Flagler Technical College director Renee Stauffacher was thrilled to see the signature event return for 2022.
“We are so happy to be back in business this year,” she said.
Exhibitors ranged from home and interior design to business and personal services, civic organizations and official government agencies, all out to reconnect with residents and visitors. Drawing thousands through the doors each year, Stauffacher said she was pleased with day one’s turnout, in spite of the blustery weather.
“We have a couple hundred vendors this year and we have taken extra precautions to clear all the hallways and have vendors in the two gyms,” she said. “There are lots of great products here offered and the attendance has been fantastic. We are having the show tomorrow from 10 am to 4 pm and we expect an even better turnout tomorrow because the weather will be a little bit warmer.”
Proceeds from the event help support programs at Flagler Technical College, which has seen a resurgence in interest as trade and certificate programs have become attractive alternatives for career-minded graduates.
“All of the proceeds go to benefit education and the students at Flagler Technical College,” she shared. “We really have had (a resurgence), and in fact our programs are full. We are looking at ways to increase our capacity right now, and in what ways we need to grow programs to fit business and industry need, and also connect K-12 career tech ed programs with post-secondary opportunities for students right here in Flagler.”
The Flagler Home & Lifestyle Show is open 10 am to 4 pm on Sunday at 5500 East Highway 100, Palm Coast, FL on the campus of Flagler Palm Coast High School. Free parking, free admission.
