FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. — Flagler County Tax Collector Shelly Edmonson has been sworn in as District 5 Director of the Florida Tax Collectors Association (FTCA), a statewide leadership role representing Tax Collectors within the district.
Edmonson took the oath of office during the Florida Tax Collectors Association 2026 Annual Education Conference, held in early September, where she was sworn in alongside other Florida Tax Collectors selected to serve in district leadership positions throughout the state.
Serving as District 5 Director is a significant honor and provides Edmonson with an opportunity to represent Flagler County and work collaboratively with Tax Collectors from across Florida on issues affecting constitutional Tax Collector offices and the communities they serve.

The Florida Tax Collectors Association brings together Tax Collectors from across the state to promote education, professional development, collaboration and the effective delivery of services to Florida residents.
Edmonson’s new leadership role continues Flagler County’s representation and involvement at the state level while providing an opportunity to share the experiences and needs of local residents with Tax Collectors and partners throughout Florida.
