PALM COAST, Fla. – For seven years a certain boy wizard went to a certain Wizard School and conquered evil. This, however, is not his story. This is the story of the Puffs… who just happened to be there too. A tale for anyone who has never been destined to save the world.

City Repertory Theatre of Palm Coast presents “Puffs, or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic” from July 17 through July 26.  This clever and inventive comedy by Matthew Cox “never goes more than a minute without a laugh” (Nerdist) and gives you a new look at a familiar adventure from the perspective of three friends just trying to make it through a magic school that proves to be very dangerous for children. Alongside them are the Puffs, a group of well-meaning, loyal outsiders with a thing for badgers.  Their epic journey takes the classic story to new places and reimagines what a boy wizard hero can be.

No matter your relationship to the famous series, there is something here for you.  “Puffs! is the wonderfully told tale of seven years at a certain school of magic we’ve all come to know and love. The show blends humor, heart, and hijinks to give everyone a new spin on an old tale,” said Beau Wade, the show’s director. “Come join us as we learn all about what goes on in the common room closest to the kitchens, how failure can sometimes be our greatest success, and how everyone gets to be the hero of their own story.”

CRT’s production stars Seth Kirk as Wayne Hopkins, Quentin Barreto as Oliver Rivers, Andrea Oliveras as Megan Jones and Anna Burns as the Narrator.  Seven actors – Isabella Bond, Jen Chidekel, Reed Grubs, Kole Leonard, Kelvin Niebla, Danno Waddell, and April Whaley – round out the company playing the remaining 46 characters.

Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm, and Sundays at 3 pm, July 17 through July 26, 2026. Tickets for all performances are available at crtpalmcoast.com or by calling the box office at 386-585-9415.  All performances take place at City Repertory Theatre, 160 Cypress Point Parkway, Suite B-207, Palm Coast.
