Daytona Beach, FL: The African American Entrepreneurs Association (AAEA) announces that Yvette Gonzalez Ferrell has joined the AAEA as Community Development Director, effective November 7th, 2022.
Yvette Gonzalez Ferrell, originally from Bronx, New York, has lived in West Volusia for 33 years and currently resides in DeLand, Florida. With a heart for non-profit work and seeing others thrive, Ferrellis excited to be part of the AAEA team.
Her experience of working on numerous boards and local community programs in the Flagler-Volusia county area is a great asset to both the AAEA members and the level of programs the AAEA will be able to offer locally. Plus, developing community engagement within the local communities will help strengthen the ability of the AAEA to increase the viability of the organization’s mission.
Founder and CEO, Leslie Giscombe is extremely excited to work alongside Ferrell.

The AAEA was created to develop and create economic development through entrepreneurship within the underserved African American community through education, mentoring, workshops, group economics, and micro-financing opportunities. The AAEA focuses its partnerships on businesses and organizations that are dedicated to the support of equity, diversity, and inclusion.
