PALM COAST— Mad Dogs Flag Football of Palm Coast has completed its Fall 2021 season with its Championship Weekend festivities on November 13th under the lights at Matanzas High School. Following its first season ever working with Flagler County Schools, Mad Dogs was proud to give its young players a chance to experience playing on a great playing surface under the lights.

Each season, Mad Dogs (a 501c3 nonprofit) serves around 300 co-ed youth athletes from ages 5-15 with a flag football experience unlike any other. Mad Dogs was formed to give Palm Coast and Flagler County kids a locally owned and operated league that was fully invested in this community and the futures of its children. Mad Dogs is proud to use local vendors whenever possible, receive a tremendous amount of support from local businesses and work with local high schools.

Following a competitive regular season and an exhilarating championship night, the following champions were crowned:

  • 6-and-Under: Raiders (Donnie Veit)
  • 8U: Vikings (Eric Thompson)
  • 10U: Buccaneers (Tommy Ascone)
  • 12U: Lions (Michael Schottey)
  • 15U: Vikings (Vuthy Try)
Championship games were not only notable for numerous first-time winners, but also because four of the five championship games were decided by one score or less with many going down to the final moment or into overtime.
