PALM COAST, Fla., Oct. 21, 2026 – More than 15 years after Michael D. Chiumento III and Bruce Page helped create a group dedicated to investing in the future of local healthcare, the AdventHealth Palm Coast Foundation has honored the two Flagler County leaders for the community support they helped build.
Chiumento and Page were named the Foundation’s 2026 Humanitarians of the Year on Oct. 20 at the Hammock Dunes Club.
As founding members of the 20/20 Society, they helped establish a group that set out in 2010 to raise $1 million by 2020 through annual commitments from local residents. The Society surpassed that goal before 2020.
John Subers, executive director of the AdventHealth Palm Coast Foundation, said the two men’s standing in the community helped attract early supporters.
“Michael and Bruce gave the 20/20 Society credibility from the beginning,” Subers said. “People knew them, trusted them and saw how committed they were to this community. Their involvement helped us bring other people to the table and build support for the Foundation.”
Since 2009, the Foundation has raised more than $15 million through community donations, including support from 20/20 Society members.
For AdventHealth, a not-for-profit health system, philanthropy is one way community members can directly support local care and the people providing it.
Many 20/20 Society members are directing their current annual contributions to the Foundation’s Nursing Excellence Fund, which supports education and professional development for local nurses.
Foundation support, for example, covered coursework and exam costs for Joe Stores, an assistant nurse manager at AdventHealth Palm Coast Parkway, to earn his Certified Emergency Nurse credential. The additional training helps him respond to patients faster and with greater confidence while providing care and leading his team.
Chiumento and Page’s involvement with AdventHealth is part of broader civic careers in Flagler County. Chiumento, managing partner of Chiumento Law, has served on the AdventHealth Board of Directors for more than 14 years and founded Chiumento CARES. Page, executive chairman of Intracoastal Bank, has served local health, education and civic organizations.
Today, 20/20 Society members continue that investment through programs that support the people providing care in Flagler County.
