The City of Flagler Beach is inviting local businesses to get creative this fall by participating in the 2026 Flagler Beach Business Scarecrow Contest. The community-wide contest encourages businesses to showcase their creativity, add a festive autumn touch to the city, and engage residents and visitors throughout the season.
Participating businesses are encouraged to display their scarecrows outside their establishments through the beginning of November, giving the community an opportunity to discover the creative displays while shopping, dining, and exploring Flagler Beach.
To be included in the judging, businesses must submit a photo of their scarecrow, the name of their creation, the business address, and a contact name to comments@cityofflaglerbeach.com by October 30, 2026.
Businesses are also encouraged to promote their scarecrows on social media and invite customers and patrons to share photos and tag the City of Flagler Beach on Facebook at @cityofflaglerbeach.
Judging will take place November 3 and 4, with a committee of community members selecting the winners in the various scarecrow categories. Prizes will be announced and awarded on Friday, November 6, 2026, during First Friday.
The Parks Committee encourages local businesses to take part in this festive community tradition and help bring a little extra fall spirit to Flagler Beach.
