Wine with an ocean view? Yes, please.

One of Palm Coast’s tastiest weekends is back as the 4th Annual Hammock Beach Food & Wine Classic takes over Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa September 18-20.

Think world-class wines, chef-curated bites, live music, championship golf and a little luxury mixed in — all set along a mile of private cinnamon-sand beach overlooking the Atlantic.

And this year, there’s even more on the menu.

“This event has quickly become one of Hammock Beach’s signature annual traditions,” said Carlton Grant, Managing Director of Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa. “Each year we continue to elevate the experience by introducing new programming that appeals to food lovers, wine enthusiasts and families alike. From exceptional culinary talent and incredible wines to live music and unique experiences, the Food & Wine Classic offers something for everyone while showcasing the best of Hammock Beach.”

First Pour: A Taste of the Andes

The weekend starts Friday afternoon with a passport-free trip to South America.

Wine educator Megan Stockton leads A Taste of the Andes from 2-3 p.m., taking guests through the celebrated wine regions of Chile and Argentina.

Along the way, guests will discover how altitude, terroir and centuries of winemaking traditions influence wines from Mendoza, the Maipo Valley and beyond, while picking up pairing tips for traditional and indigenous cuisine.

Whether you’re just beginning to explore wine or already know your favorite vintage, the tasting is designed for all experience levels.

Tickets are $45+ per person.

Saturday: Run. Sip. Repeat.

New this year, Saturday morning kicks off with the inaugural Food & Wine Classic 5K Fun Run through the Hammock Beach community.

Once those miles are logged, it’s time for the weekend’s main event.

The Food & Wine Classic Grand Tasting arrives Saturday evening with more than 90 wines from around the world, gourmet tasting stations created by Hammock Beach’s culinary team, a Florida Craft Beer Garden, interactive culinary experiences and live entertainment — all overlooking the Atlantic.

There’s a creative twist, too.

Acclaimed Florida artist William Lurcott will create an original coastal-inspired painting live during the event.

Bringing the kids? They get their own taste of the action at the Kids Foodie Classic, featuring interactive culinary games, mocktails and hands-on activities for aspiring young chefs.

When the sun goes down, Last2Leave turns up the energy. Featuring six award-winning musicians and vocalists, the North Florida band blends contemporary chart-toppers with classic dance-floor favorites.

Feeling Fancy? Go VIP.

For those who like their wine weekends with an extra splash of luxury, the new VIP Wine Experience offers a private retreat within the Grand Tasting.

The $225-per-person experience includes access to a climate-controlled lounge with comfortable seating, an enhanced culinary menu and one-on-one interaction with featured wine experts.

The centerpiece? Approximately 18 premium wines showcased across six dedicated tasting tables.

Consider it your sophisticated hideaway between trips to the dance floor.

Sunday Funday — On the Ocean Course

There’s no need to rush home Sunday.

The weekend closes with the 2nd Annual Hammock Beach Food & Wine Golf Tournament on the award-winning Jack Nicklaus-designed Ocean Course.

Exclusively available to resort guests, the 18-hole shotgun tournament combines golf with on-course food and beverage stations, contests, prizes, live entertainment and spectacular ocean views.

Registration is $150 per player through the resort’s Pro Shop.

Make It a Weekend

Why stop at one evening?

The Food & Wine Classic Package includes overnight accommodations and one event ticket per registered adult. Individual event tickets are also available for $175 per person, plus tax, with separate tickets offered for the Grand Tasting, VIP Wine Experience and Friday wine seminar.

And between tastings, there’s plenty to explore.

Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa features 275 guestrooms and suites, two championship golf courses, nine pools — including a lazy river and water slide — luxury spa services, award-winning dining and a mile of private Atlantic coastline.

In other words: come for the wine, stay for the weekend.
