BUNNELL, FL – The Bunnell Police Department arrested 33-year-old Joshua Alexander Walker of Palm Coast Friday evening after two motorists reported Walker pointed a handgun at them during a traffic confrontation on U.S. 1.
At approximately 7:33 p.m. on July 31st, Bunnell Police officers responded to a reckless-driver complaint near Education Way and North State Street (U.S. 1). The two motorists told officers they were traveling south on U.S. 1 when a white Hyundai Tucson began swerving between lanes.
As the motorists passed the Hyundai near Education Way, they reported seeing the driver point a handgun toward them. Fearing for their safety, they accelerated away, stopped at a safe location, and called 911.
Flagler County Sheriff’s Office deputies located the Hyundai traveling south on U.S. 1 near Old Dixie Highway. Deputies identified Walker as the driver. His clothing matched the description provided by the victims.
Bunnell officers transported the two victims separately to conduct independent identification procedures. Both positively identified Walker and the Hyundai involved in the incident.
Bunnell Police arrested Walker and charged him with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon without Intent to Kill, a third-degree felony under Florida law. Officers transported him to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility on a $25,000.00 bond.
While securing the Hyundai, deputies observed several firearm magazines in plain view inside the center-console cupholder. Bunnell officers impounded the vehicle and transported it to the Bunnell Police Department to preserve potential evidence pending a search warrant.
On Monday morning, August 3rd, Bunnell Police detectives obtained and executed a search warrant for the vehicle. During the search, detectives recovered a Taurus 9mm handgun and three loaded magazines, and submitted them into evidence.

Public records show Walker faced the same felony charge following a separate road-rage investigation conducted by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office in May 2023.
In the earlier case, two motorists reported Walker pointed a handgun at them near Palm Coast Parkway and Interstate 95 following a traffic dispute. According to the charging affidavit, Walker acknowledged displaying his firearm during the confrontation and permitted deputies to recover a loaded SCCY 9mm handgun from his vehicle.
Walker entered a no-contest plea to Aggravated Assault with a Firearm on February 27, 2024, as part of a pretrial-intervention agreement. After Walker completed the program, the State Attorney’s Office entered a nolle prosequi (declined prosecution) on February 26, 2026, ending the prosecution without a conviction. The current arrest occurred approximately five months later.

Bunnell will not tolerate armed intimidation on our roadways.”
