Flagler County — Ron Long officially announced today that his campaign has successfully qualified for the ballot for the Flagler County School Board District 4 seat after candidate petitions were certified by the Flagler County Supervisor of Elections.
The petition process allowed the campaign to connect directly with voters across the community and gather valuable feedback from residents throughout Flagler County.
“I had such an amazing time collecting signatures throughout our county,” said Ron Long.
“What started as a petition drive quickly became something much more meaningful. I had the opportunity to meet face-to-face with hundreds of Flagler County residents and hear directly from them about their questions, concerns, and hopes for the future of our schools and community.”
Ron has been a resident of Flagler County for nearly 25 years, and all three of his children graduated from public schools. Each chose a different path after graduation; the military, college, and straight into the workforce. There are many paths, and all are respectable; a philosophy Ron strongly believes in when it comes to a student’s future.
Ron has built his campaign around listening to residents, supporting students and teachers, and ensuring taxpayers receive transparency and accountability from local leadership.
“The conversations I’ve had over the last several months reinforced just how important it is to have leaders who are accessible, willing to listen, focused on solutions, and most importantly, willing to show up and do the job,” Long said. “People want strong schools, responsible budgeting, safe learning environments, and opportunities that prepare every student for success; whether that path leads to college, trade school, military service, or directly into the workforce.”
The campaign says qualifying by petition reflects growing grassroots support and a commitment to earning every vote through direct engagement with the community.
“I’m incredibly grateful to every resident who signed a petition, welcomed a conversation, or offered encouragement along the way,” Long said. “This campaign is about the people of Flagler County, and I’m excited to continue meeting voters across our community in the months ahead.”
