WASHINGTON, D.C.—Senator Ashley Moody took to the Senate Floor today to demand no taxpayer-funded reimbursement for Senator’s flights home during government shutdowns:
“Business as usual, kicking the can, and pushing an issue like government funding down the line isn’t cutting it. That’s why I’m proposing a Senate Resolution to suspend taxpayer funded travel home for Senators during a lapse in funding. This incentivizes the Senate to stay in town and find a solution to fund critical law enforcement agencies,” said Senator Ashley Moody.
