September 1, 2026 – Flagler County invites residents to register for its free Citizens’ Academy. This four-day program provides a behind-the-scenes look at how both county departments and Constitutional Officers serve the community every day.
“We’ve reimagined this year’s academy to deliver the same depth and breadth of information more efficiently,” said Interim County Administrator Adam Mengel. “We are bringing departments together for four immersive days. This will allow residents to see how collaboration and innovation drive our operations to provide services to the community.”

Dates: October 6, 7, 13, and 14 (Tuesdays & Wednesdays)

Times: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Lunch Break: noon to 1 p.m., one hour.
“There is something for everyone, whether they are new to the area or have lived here for decades,” Mengel said. “The academy provides insights that help people engage more confidently with local government.”
