Flagler Volunteer Services and Flagler County Emergency Management invite you to get involved through a wide range of free emergency preparedness, disaster response, and volunteer training opportunities designed for everyday residents—no prior experience required.

CERT Classes at the Flagler Emergency Operations Center.

From learning how to care for pets during evacuations and supporting neighbors through disaster-related stress, to becoming a certified Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) member or joining the American Red Cross Disaster Action Team, these programs empower you with real-life skills that make a real difference. There are also workshops supporting veterans and military families, monthly COAD meetings for those active in disaster work, and opportunities to help with long-term hurricane recovery efforts right here in Flagler County.

Whether you can give a few hours, attend a class, or commit to ongoing service, there’s a place for you. Training is held at the Flagler County Emergency Operations Center and other local venues, with flexible options throughout the winter season.
