PALM COAST, Fla. – On a trip through time, patrons of The Fitzgerald Performing Arts Center are riding a magic carpet of music and entertainment this holiday season.

In Case You Missed It

Going head-to-head with the Legend 2 Legend show, the audience was electrified by the sheer talent and energy of Billy Joel tribute band “Turnstiles” and Elton John tribute “Greggie and The Jets” as they belted out hit after hit, spanning nearly five decades of music.

Performers from both bands were generous with their time, meeting and greeting fans after the show, and posing for photos.

“Let me tell you what. We’ve been to several concerts here. This has been the best. I mean to tell you when both bands got together, pardon my language but it was kick ass,” said James Fiske, attending with his wife Laura.

“They keep you going,” she said.

A 3-hour show, fans stayed until the end to see it all.

“This Legend 2 Legend group was the best performance at Flagler Auditorium I have seen in all the years we’ve been coming here,” gushed Kathy Reichard-Ellavsky.

“The energy, the passion, the respect that the two bands had for one another, it was palpable. You really could just see it and feel it. I hope they’ll come back,” she said.

Taking it back to the kings of rock, John Mueller made a stop in Palm Coast.

Capturing the moment at Sun Studios when a chance meeting between Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash, and Elvis Presley became the basis for the national touring show, “One Night in Memphis: Presley, Perkins, Lewis & Cash”, Thursday night brought the classic sounds of the “Million Dollar Quartet” to The Fitz.

Created and directed by John Mueller, the critically acclaimed national touring tribute show is a smash hit with Flagler audiences as it takes a trip down memory lane with some of rock and roll royalty.

Coming Up

The Fitzgerald Performing Arts Center closes out the year with two family-friendly shows, welcoming both THE SILHOUETTES® on December 15th and the New Year’s Eve Weekend ‘Friend-Raiser’ event featuring ‘The Little Mermen: The Ultimate Disney Tribute Band’ on December 29th. Both shows offer special $5 pricing for children.

“It’s a rock and roll band but they do Disney songs, old and new. They dress as the characters, so they do everything from Little Mermaid to Aladdin, and it’s $5 tickets for kids,” said Fitzgerald Performing Arts Center Director Amelia Fulmer.

“It’s a fundraiser for arts education and we’re calling it a ‘friends-raiser’ because we’re asking people to sign a pledge that they believe that arts are essential for every child,” she said.

Bringing timeless entertainment to the Fitzgerald Performing Arts Center on Friday evening, ‘America’s Got Talent’ Golden Buzzer 2020 The Champions Show stars THE SILHOUETTES®, currently in residency at the Luxor in Las Vegas with the AGT Superstars Live show, head to Florida for appearances in Palm Coast and Sanibel Island.

Internationally recognized, THE SILHOUETTES® share a beauty and style of storytelling that rivals the eloquence of the silver screen’s earliest silent films. Bringing to life the magic of the holiday season during their performance, THE SILHOUETTES® use their bodies to create the shapes and scenes during ‘The Light of Christmas’ show, as America’s premier shadow dance company.

Created by Colorado-based, award-winning choreographer, dance and vocal educator Lynne Waggoner-Patton, the show features professional performers of all ages to tell the story through a variety of mixed media.

Special $5 pricing is available for children to allow them to experience the unique show. Call the box office at 386-437-7547.
