Motto Mortgage is pleased to announce its First Annual Golf Classic fundraiser – ‘Swing Against Hunger’ – to raise funds to combat food insecurity in Flagler County. The tournament will be held on October 23 at Grand Haven Golf Club, 500 Riverfront Dr., Palm Coast, starting at noon. Registration is $125 per player, and the day includes a Mimosa & Bloody Mary Breakfast at 10 AM, a shotgun start at 12 PM, and a Dinner Reception.

The Mission Against Hunger initiative was born out of Motto Mortgage’s commitment to the holistic well-being of the communities they serve. Recognizing that the needs of people extend beyond home loans, this endeavor was established to bring hope and sustenance to those facing food insecurity. In Flagler County alone, 10% of the population, equating to 11,410 individuals, struggle with food insecurity. With an annual food budget shortfall of $8,311,000, the community’s support is pivotal in bridging the gap.

“We are driven by a shared commitment to alleviating hunger in our community. ‘Swing Against Hunger’ is not just a golf tournament; it’s a collective effort to make a tangible impact on the lives of those facing food insecurity,” says Pam Capella, Organizer and Representative of Motto Mortgage.

Participants and supporters can make a difference in the fight against hunger by sponsoring or playing in the tournament. Donations, both monetary and non-perishable food items, are welcomed and appreciated. Moreover, local businesses and individuals can contribute by donating raffle items or volunteering during the event.

In the spirit of October, there will be a prize awarded for the spookiest golf attire worn during the tournament. Participants are encouraged to embrace the Halloween season and add a touch of festive fright to their golfing ensemble.
