Palm Coast – The City of Palm Coast’s Utility Department has two upcoming projects planned to ensure sufficient water flow and high-quality water.

The first project involves the restoration of Surficial Aquifer #7, which was originally built in 1973 on Palm Coast Parkway. Over time, the well’s performance has decreased, and it needs to be brought back to optimal functioning. The necessary measures will be taken to address this issue in accordance with industry standards. The construction activities for this project will take place at SW-7R, located at 6774 Palm Coast Parkway Northwest, starting from July 19th through August 25th. It’s important to note that the pump replacement will not affect the operation of the treatment facilities.

The second project involves the construction of a 4-inch test well on a City of Palm Coast right-of-way between 300 and 420 Palm Coast Parkway Southwest. This test well aims to determine the suitability of this location for potentially constructing a new Confined Surficial Aquifer Public Water Supply well. The purpose of this new well would be to supply water to Water Treatment Plant 1 and meet future potable water demands. The construction activities for this project will also take place from July 19th through August 9th.

Throughout the duration of both construction projects, there will be no need to implement water usage restrictions. However, if residents have any questions or concerns, they are encouraged to contact the City by submitting a case at PalmCoast.gov/Connect or calling 386-986-2360.
