FLAGLER BEACH, Fla. (May 2, 2023) There’s never a shortage of events happening across Flagler County and on Saturday golfers teed up to help the Flagler Woman’s Club raise a little dough.

Avid players and those who’d never hit the greens headed out on course at Cypress Knoll Golf and Country Club in Palm Coast for a round, and a good cause.

Among the players were Flagler Beach Police Chief Matt Doughney, Flagler Beach restauranteur Nick Kimble, and Flagler Broadcasting radio personality Kirk Keller.

“On behalf of the Flagler Woman’s Club, I would like to thank all of our sponsors, all who donated in any way and most of all our players, the very men and women who came out to Cypress Knoll’s golf course and poured their hearts and souls into the charity event,” said President Barbara Macready.

Organizers estimate approximately $4,000 in proceeds will be divided among the following local charities: Alpha Women’s, Disabled American Veterans, Flagler Beach Junior Lifeguard Program, Flagler Beach Library, Flagler Beach Volunteer Fireman’s Association, Flagler County Free Clinic, Flagler Humane Society, Flagler Senior Services, Fostering Connections FL, Habitat for Humanity, Samaritan Ministries (SMILE), and St. Vincent de Paul.

“We hope that everyone had as much fun as we did,” said Macready. “It is lots of hard work but through the generosity of those who shared this event, together we are making a difference. For this we say thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.”
