BUNNELL, FL – As summer approaches and boating season begins, it is important to make sure your vessel is ready to hit the water. To help ensure your safety on the water, the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office Marine Unit is hosting a free vessel safety check event this weekend.
The event will take place at Herschel King Park from 10 am to 3 pm on Saturday, April 15, 2023 (weather permitting). The FCSO Marine Unit will be on hand to perform safety checks on vessels and provide information on safe boating practices. Participants will be provided a Vessel Safety Check sticker to show that their vessel has been checked for safety and is compliant with Florida boating laws.
This event is open to all boaters, whether you’re a seasoned pro or a first-time boater! Don’t miss this opportunity to ensure your safety on the water and have a fun and enjoyable boating season.
