FLAGLER BEACH, Fla. – The wine was flowing and the spirits were high as Uncork’d Flagler Beach wine bar celebrated their one year anniversary. With patrons galore and a taco truck to commemorate the occasion, it was an event to see and be seen.

Uncork’d officially opened on December 28, 2021 and has become a popular spot for locals as well as an excellent option for tourists looking for a little jewel in the Flagler Beach landscape.

Flagler Beach local and regular patron Debby Meyer said, “We love the Uncork’d wine bar, it’s such a great place. There’s always fun people, great wine and a great atmosphere. Such a fabulous place to have here in Flagler Beach.”

The atmosphere of Uncork’d is one of familiarity and welcoming to regulars and newcomers alike.

Shelly Bowen, a wine server at Uncork’d said, “I love working with my friends, the new friends I’ve made, sometimes to see me, sometimes to see other people. As a customer I love all the wine! The atmosphere is so welcoming, I love the fact that a woman can come in on her own and be safe. You never have to worry that someone will make you uncomfortable.”

The opening of the new wine bar in Flagler Beach seems to have filled a niche, “It’s been crazy here since we opened, very exciting,” said Deborah Phillips, a partner at Uncork’d.

“We’re one of the only wine bars in the area that carries high end wines, which is really exciting. We’ve got a lot of return customers that come every week. We have music on the weekends and we’re just doing really well and so thankful for that.”

Uncork’d has garnered a reputation for being accessible to guests that both know wine and may want to learn.

“Been coming to Uncork’d for the full year, always enjoyed it,” Kirk Keller from Flagler Broadcasting said. “If you don’t know much about wine they’ll teach you about wine. It’s great to have an adult place like this to go to that’s not too wild, not too crazy.”

Regan Hansen spoke of the community feel when she said, “I love coming to Uncork’d because it’s a local establishment where everyone feels a part of the experience.”

Another regular patron, Candice Grady, said, “I think Uncork’d is one of the greatest things to happen to Flagler Beach. Julie and Keith are the greatest hosts.”

Keith and Julie Leopard opened the bar one year ago with a passion for wine and also community, as is evident with their operation.

Keith Leopard said, “We had been living in Flagler for a couple years and we thought the time was right to open a small little wine bar because the people we were meeting all seemed to be in agreement that this community needed a place where you could get a nice glass of wine, talk with friends and such. Now a year later we have so many people that have become friends with other people and that’s really what we’re all about. Someone called us ‘Cheers’ for a wine bar and we think that’s pretty perfect.”

“I’m so grateful on this one year anniversary that we’ve had this loyal following,” said Julie Leopard. “We truly appreciate everybody, they’re kindness and generosity to come out and support us has been really wonderful and we really appreciate it.”
