Palm Coast, Florida, September 20, 2022 – Now in its twelfth year, Palm Coast’s celebrated CITY REPERTORY THEATRE has announced its new season, staging seven intriguing and entertaining plays running the gamut of modern theater. The season opens in September with “Assassins” by Steven Sondheim and John Weidman, one of the most controversial musicals ever written, followed in October by the inimitable romp “Charley’s Aunt,” tracing the antics of two college roommates in a desperate search of a chaperone. In December “A King and Two Queens” brings humor and sympathy to three over-the-top monarchs. Three gutsy gals take Nashville by storm in January with “Honky Tonk Angels,” a dream musical for country music fans. The following month, through dance, poetry, and song, “The Colored Museum” redefines the idea of what it means to be Black in contemporary America. March brings “Scapino” a fresh take on a Moliere classic with a study in clever manipulation and deception. And finally in April, Arthur Miller’s searing “All My Sons” asks the question, “Are we our brothers’ keepers?”
The City Repertory Theatre was founded in 2010 by John Sbordone and Diane Ellertsen. It is known for its edgy and courageous staging of theater classics, both old and new. Wrote one theater-goer recently, “It is a small, intimate venue packed with big city quality talent.”
